This page will cover how to find your API key in the Chargebee admin panel.
Sharing your API key allows the RetentionEngine to access vital customer information to ensure a flawless customer experience. Additionally, the API key allows the RetentionEngine to automatically update customer accounts with discounts, pauses, or cancellations.
When setting up your Chargebee integration, you will need two things from Chargebee:
- Your API Key
- Your API Site
Creating an API Key
To acquire an API key, you need to log into your dashboard and select the "Configure Chargebee" tab in the left menu under "Settings".
Next, you must scroll down and click on "API keys", as shown below.
Then, you can click on "Add API Key", click on "Full-access Key", and label the key Bellwethr. Once you click on "Create Key", you should be able to copy your key now.
Obtaining Your API Key
Your API site can be found in your URL, prior to the ".chargebee.com" portion. In the example photo below, the API site is "bellwethr-test".
